is this thing on?

Been four months since I wrote anything. I got a new program for journal writing/blog posting that automatically uploads it to blogger so I’m just testing it out. I think it’s possible that I’ll start this back up. I did it for nine months without stopping, amazingly, but then kinda petered out.

I was watching House the other night, and the patient was a compulsive blogger who wrote about everything going on in her life, even while she was laying in the hospital bed dying. Although the character was supremely annoying and I wanted her to die (she didn’t - boo) it somehow made me miss writing blog posts.

Since November:

- Got a new job at Bristol. Got a decent raise, started qualifying for bonuses, better benefits... all that happy stuff. The best part is that I get to stay in Syracuse for a bit. I’ve covered this extensively over the past year but I really wanted to keep my house and stuff... so I’m glad I got the chance.

- Kinda got out of shape. I gain weight every winter and at the end of every summer I tell myself that it won’t happen again but it always does. This winter was just as bad as last winter... which is to say pretty bad. I have a pretty good blueprint from how I lost weight last summer, which will be helpful. Last year it took me a month or two to get it right so hopefully once it gets warm enough to start running again I can just get this weight flying right off. I’m already craving some running time.

- Going to be repainting the house over the next few months... growing to hate the brown. I thought it was a good idea but now not so much. Going with a neutral/tan/beige for the living room and upstairs hallway, with the wall going up the staircase serving as a red accent wall. I’m really hoping that it turns out as good as I’m thinking it will. Bought some new appliances, other boring stuff. Basically doing stuff I would have done awhile ago but now my future is more stable.

- Going to Los Angeles for the 4th of July to see my friends from college so I’m really looking forward to that.

Maybe I’ll keep writing, maybe I won’t. Still unclear what time I’m gonna have once I start my new job. I guess we’ll see.
